Brownie and Ginger's A/C and Heating Tips

     As you can see in our picture taken on bath
     day, our Mommy and Daddy keep us clean.
     This time of the year we aren't the only ones
     getting clean around the house.

     The change in seasons is a great reminder for
     home maintenance and repairs. Having an a/c
     and heating company service your heater in
     the fall and your a/c in the spring keeps your
     unit working at its optimum and will reduce
     your monthly utility bills. 

     The technician will also check if the heat
     exchange is cracked, which happens over a
     period of time. If it is, there is no way of

knowing except to open up the unit because the unit continues to operate, in spite of this.

If your heat exchange is cracked, it will cause carbon monoxide to enter your home. Because carbon monoxide is odorless and cannot be detected by any of the five senses, it is very dangerous.

Another reason to regularly maintain your unit is to satisfy the requirements of your home warranty. If your unit has not been maintained properly your home warranty may not cover all repairs.
